Gualdo del Re produces several types of wine (about 100.000 bottles per annum). These all closely relate to the denomination of origin of the territory. The red grape varieties are Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Aleatico. The white ones are Pinot Bianco and Vermentino which produces extraordinary results in this particular area of Tuscany.
Gualdo del Re is in Suvereto, a small medieval town in the province of Livorno. It is located four miles from the sea, just in front of the Island of Elba; and it is surrounded by the hills like a natural amphitheater. The geographical position, the proximity of the sea and the fresh air of its woods make Gualdo del Re an ideal tourist destination.
